Garward uniwersitetiniň hukuk fakultetinde (1940–1942) gözlegçi bolup, 1942-nji ýylda ABŞ-nyň hökümetine (Maglumat koordinatory) goşuldy. Amerikanyň sesi bilen sekiz ýyl hyzmat edensoň, Awstriýanyň stoluna geçirildi. Döwlet Departamenti (1950).[3]

1953-nji ýylda ABŞ-nyň täze döredilen Maglumat gullugynda (USIA) Ýewropa boýunça direktoryň orunbasary wezipesine bellendi. 1955-nji ýylda 1955-nji ýylyň 15-nji maýynda Wenada gol çeken dört döwlet (ABŞ Beýik Britaniýa, Fransiýa we Sowet Soýuzy) tarapyndan gol çekilen Döwlet şertnamasy bilen tamamlanan Awstriýa şertnamasy gepleşiklerine Amerikan wekiliýetiniň agzasy boldy.
